The School of Art & Design presents the Out of Order, a solo-exhibition by Kristen Letts Kovakfeaturing work addressing the psychological and physical toll of living with a hidden and unpredictable somatic disability through visual elements of abstraction and provisional painting.

Letts Kovak is an artist, professor and curator based in Pittsburgh. She earned her MFA in Studio Art from MICA and has since taught drawing, painting, and applied aesthetics at Carnegie Mellon University, where she currently serves as Assistant Teaching Professor and Senior Associate Dean of the College of Fine Arts.

Please join us on Thursday, March 7 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. for the closing reception of Out of Order by Kristen Letts Kovak in the Carroll Gallery, located on the first floor of the Visual Arts Center at 927 3rd Avenue Huntington, WV.

There will be an artist talk by the artist prior to the reception in VAC 209 beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Out of Order will be on exhibit from February 12 through March 2, 2024.

Galleries and events are free and open to all.

Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
