An exciting new chapter is underway for Marshall University's research enterprise.

Join President Brad D. Smith and the Marshall University Research Corporation (MURC) as they welcome Dr. Gautam Pillay, Marshall's Vice President for Research and Executive Director of MURC, for a special fireside chat focused on the future of research, innovation, and impact at Marshall.

This event offers a unique opportunity to get to know Dr. Pillay, hear what inspired him to join Marshall University, and learn about his vision for growing research opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and expanding Marshall's impact across West Virginia and beyond. Through a conversation with President Smith, attendees will gain insight into the exciting possibilities ahead and how Marshall's collaborative spirit, talented faculty, and commitment to student success position the university for continued growth.

The discussion will also provide a glimpse into the next generation of research initiatives and the opportunities available for faculty, staff, students, and community partners to be part of Marshall's evolving research story.

"Welcome. Connect. Inspire." isn't just the theme of the event. It's an invitation to meet the newest leader of Marshall's research enterprise and join the conversation about what's next.
