Marshall Health Network will offer free oral cancer screenings to the public on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Marshall Dentistry & Oral Surgery, located at 1616 13th Ave., Suite 200 in Huntington. 

Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled by calling Edwards Cancer Institute at 304.399.6693. Walk-ins are welcome between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. 

Most adults 20 years and older should have an oral cancer screening at least once a year. Those at increased risk, including tobacco users, heavy consumers of alcohol and those with a family history of cancer, may need them more frequently. Oral cancer screenings are often included during routine dental checkups, but this free community event provides an added opportunity for those who may not have regular access to dental care.
