DESCRIPTION:Marshall University School of Art & Design proudly presents the
  Spring 2026 Capstone Exhibition Season\, a series of exhibitions showcasi
 ng the culmination of skills and ideas gathered by two groups of graduatin
 g students in the School of Art & Design. \n\n \n\nThe first exhibition\, 
 Holocene\, features artists Ben Ardman\, Jenna Nichols\, Abby Thompson\, N
 athaniel Thompson\, and Audrey Vance and their work in animation\, sculptu
 re\, stop motion\, and apparel. Each distinct body of work highlights the 
 artists’ perspectives and demonstrates their individual styles of storyt
 elling\, whether they are reimagining ancient stories through apparel or t
 elling newer stories by unveiling a West Virginia-focused snow sports bran
 d. \n\n \n\nHolocene will be on view April 13 - 16\, 2026 with a reception
  and gallery talk on Monday\, April 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Charles W. 
 & Norma C. Caroll Gallery and the Pneumatic Gallery\, located on the first
  floor of the Visual Arts Center at 927 Third Ave.\, Huntington\, WV. \n\n
  \n\nStudents spend a year planning\, developing\, and installing the artw
 ork while preparing the receptions and gallery talks. Senior Capstone Exhi
 bitions celebrate the end of their students in the School of Art & Design 
 and act as their first professional exhibition.\n\n \n\nGallery hours are 
 Monday through Friday\, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. \n\nAdmission to the gallery and
  all events are free and open to the public. \n\n \n\nFor additional infor
