 \n \n\nIn celebration of the U.S. 250th anniversary\, Legend Has It presen
 ts quilts that narrate the history of labor\, transportation\, commerce\, 
 and freedom in Cabell County and nearby areas. Each quilt reflects stories
  of migration\, industry\, and resilience\, honoring the contributions of 
 women and men who shaped West Virginia's communities and industries throug
 h both historical patterns and contemporary designs.\n\n \n\nEarlier this 
 year\, the School of Art & Design put out a call for quilts and fiber piec
 es that captured these themes. After reviewing a wide range of submissions
 \, jurors selected nearly 25 works for this summer’s exhibition in the C
 arroll Gallery.\n\n \n\nLegend Has It will be on view in the Charles W. & 
 Norma C. Carroll Gallery from June 15 to July 24\, 2026\, with a public re
 ception on July 17 from 5–7 p.m.\, during the Downtown Art Walk. \n\n \n
 \nThe galleries are free and open to the community Monday through Friday\,
