Join us for information sessions for details on applying to and being a part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience. 

• SURE is a 10-week undergraduate research program funded by the State of WV. 
• $4,800 stipend* for students pursuing degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. 
• Program is geared towards students planning to pursue graduate degrees in the STEM fields, but all STEM students currently performing research are encouraged to apply. 

Due to the intensity of the program, applicants may not enroll in other courses or maintain weekday employment during their 10-week research period.

The program will be held from May 18, 2026 - July 24, 2026. 

Completed applications, including a faculty mentor letter of recommendation, must be received by 5 pm Friday, February 27th, 2026.
