The Marshall University School of Theatre and Dance presents "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" at 7:30 p.m. April 12-15 and 2 p.m. April 16 in the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center.
"The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" is a funny, fast-paced musical comedy about pubescents vying for the spelling bee championship. Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk awards for Best Book, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" was penned by Rachel Sheinkin with a vibrant score by William Finn and candidly shares the hilarious and touching stories of the kids spelling their way through a series of possibly made‐up words.
Tickets are free for students with a valid MU ID, and are $20 general admission; and $15 for seniors age 60 and older and for Marshall employees. Call 304-696-ARTS.
