Marshall students from all majors across campus are invited to audition for the two Fall productions of Marshall's School of Theatre and Dance: "A Doll's House" by Henrik Ibsen and "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some!)"
Audtions are Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Francis-Booth Experimental Theatre of the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center. Auditions require two prepared 1-minute monologues — one in the style of Ibsen's writing (19th-century drama) and one contemporary comedy selection. Also, please bring a list of all commitments and anticipated absences from rehearsals to the audition.
Call-backs will be Aug. 22-23 and will consist of readings from the plays (with lines provided).
Rehearsal and performance requirements:
A Doll's House:
• Rehearsals Aug. 27 - Oct. 15, Monday-Friday, 7-10 p.m.
• Performances Oct. 16-19, 7:30 p.m. in the Francis-Booth Experimental Theatre
Every Christmas Story Ever Told:
• Rehearsals Oct. 21-Dec. 3, Monday-Friday, 7-10 p.m.
• Performances Dec. 4-7, 7:30 p.m. in the Francis-Booth Experimental Theatre
